# Adorably > Ado, a pocket fairy in Claude Code, shows dev-tool perks when they fit. > Matching runs on your machine; nothing about your code is sent. Adorably is a mod for Claude Code that shows developers perks (free tiers, longer trials, startup deals) matched to what they are building. Matching runs on the developer's machine against a catalog the mod downloads. Nothing about your code is sent. The Claude Code mod is open source (MIT); the server is not. It is free, in beta, and made by Amla Labs. Install it inside Claude Code with `/plugin install adorably --marketplace https://adorably.io`, or from a shell with `claude plugin install adorably --marketplace https://adorably.io`. Claude Code reads https://adorably.io/ as a plugin marketplace file and checks the zip's SHA-256 before it runs anything. What the mod reads: dependency manifests (package.json, requirements.txt, pyproject.toml, go.mod, Cargo.toml and Gemfile), install commands such as `npm i`, config file names, the variable names in `.env.example` (never `.env`) and the database provider in `prisma/schema.prisma` (only the datasource provider), with plain string parsing. These become tags such as `needs:email`, which stay on the developer's machine with the match reasons and any claimed codes. In this beta no model runs and no source files are read. Relevance decides whether the mod shows a card; money only breaks ties between equally good matches, and every card is labeled Sponsored or Public perk. The mod never writes to the developer's prompt or transcript, and its `/perks` command replies, which the model can read, name no offers and no tags. Card caps can only go up with the developer's explicit yes: a new version that would interrupt more asks first. What the mod sends: nothing until the developer chooses "Turn on" in its first-run screen. After that, about every ten minutes, it sends api.adorably.io what is in the left column below. It never sends what is in the right column. | Sent | Never sent | | --- | --- | | A random install id, made on this machine from a secret that never leaves it | Code, file contents, file paths, repo names or remotes | | Ids of offers shown, dismissed, muted or claimed, with where (card or pane) and when | Project tags or the dependency list | | Ids of sponsored offers that matched but were not shown, with when | Which tag, file or package made an offer match | | How many offers matched in a session | Prompts, transcript, model output | | Surface (terminal, desktop, VS Code or mobile), mod version and Claude Code version | Env var values or .env files | | A random id per events batch, so a retried batch is stored once | The install secret | | At claim time: a hashed IP address (salted SHA-256), kept at most 30 days to count a claim once per person and stop abuse | Your email (the mod never asks Claude Code who you are) | | Country, derived by the server from the request | Anything that links a batch to you beyond the install id | Every request also names the mod version in its headers (x-adorably-mod, and a User-Agent of adorably/). No user agent is stored with a claim. `/perks off` stops cards and reporting immediately, `/perks forget` clears what the mod keeps locally and asks the server to delete the install record (claim records are anonymized), and `CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_NONESSENTIAL_TRAFFIC=1` turns off all of its network calls. Paid offers are always labeled as paid; public perks are unpaid. Updates: the mod updates itself by default, at most once a day in an interactive session, using Claude Code's own plugin commands; a new version applies in the next session. `/perks settings updates manual` turns that off, and then the developer updates with `claude plugin update adorably@adorably`. Every version stays downloadable, pinned by its SHA-256, and an update that changes what is sent asks for consent again. For dev-tool companies (coming soon): companies will be able to sell perks to developers from their own coding agent, with no dashboard to learn. To get in early, write to hello@adorably.io.
